The Internship in Vernacular Eco-Architecture at Dharmalaya Institute is a formal, academically-supervised internship programme designed to provide architects (and students of architecture) with both practical experience and deeper theoretical knowledge in the arts and practices of sustainable building, with an emphasis on the Kangra style of vernacular earthen architecture.

A six-week online immersion into nature’s divine proportions and how to apply them. Draw, contemplate, and create forms that sing with golden meaning. 

In this nine-day immersive residential workshop-retreat, we’ll explore how the natural elements can shape, nurture and inspire the built environment. Through a balanced curriculum of hands-on learning and meaningful contemplation, participants will come away with not only practical skills but also a deep appreciation for what it means to build in relationship with nature.
